My chamberlain garage door opener started experiencing problems one day. Sometimes would work, sometimes completely non responsive – like blank. Eventually stopped doing anything. This logic board fixed that. Good instructions and packaging.

    Project Plans for 12 x 16 Shed Reverse Gable — deficient, January 26, 2016

This review is from: Project Plans for 12′ x 16′ Shed Reverse Gable Roof Style Design # D1216G, Material List and Step By Step Included (Misc.)
All structures in my county larger than 120 sf requires a permit and visit to the local building office.
This shed requires that visit, and I wanted to make sure these “plans” were sufficient.

They were not — missing was any engineering statement or endorsement that this plan meets minimum wind and snow loading values.

The duty inspector then asked, “Where’s the reverse gable, I don’t see any?”. Turns out this feature, is a gable constructed at right-angles to the main roof line, often called a dormer, and there is none. Sounded nice in the description, though.

Crucial and negative comments followed involving the roof:
    1) 2×4 rafters and bottom chord for 12-foot trusses is acceptable IF internally braced; they are not.
    2) considering the span and length, the office STRONGLY recommended a 2×6 or larger ridge beam.
    3) Trusses per plans are designed to be flush with the side walls, no cantilever or overhang. Then to support the nominal 12″ roof overhang the builder is to cut short pieces of 2x’s and nail them onto the truss ends, more as a weak afterthought, and no drawing or description of exactly how to do this were found.

Based on the roof design alone, the duty inspector said it is “very unlikely” this shed would be approved as planned.

As for Step-by-Step instructions, not much in that department. Same for “Tips”.

    Being returned.

ps found this on Amazon: The Black& Decker “The Complete Guide to Comtemporary Sheds” (2008, Philip Schmidt) is half the cost and has a Convenience Shed plan inside that is a better plan — with detailed drawings, templates, instructions and photos — for a strong shed (2×6 trusses w/ridge beam and overhangs). Also has other shed plans, a helpful reference.
