For the last several months I have been trying to remove carpet staples from a hardwood floor. I’ve tried all the recommendations: pliers, diagonal cutters, screwdriver, etc. None of those worked. I came across this on accident on Amazon and figured out was at least worth a shot for the low price. Honestly I was starting to believe I was going to have to play someone to remove the staples but this little guy took care of the problem. I was able to remove all but a few heavily rusted staples from the hardwood. It also worked great when an armrest on my office chair ripped open and I had to remove the padding to replace it. Bonus.

This makes removing upholstery staples so much easier. I had started removing staples on a bench a few days ago and I had cut up my bass pretty bad when I was trying to do get out the thousand of staples on it. I found this tool and ordered it immediately. I an so glad I did. I had done about half of the staples in 5 hours before receiving this and after I used the tool I finished in 1 hour.

I deducted 1 star because the soft covering in one area started pealing up upon first use. Doesn’t impacy use, but I thought that was awfully soon for anything to peel.
