We had the pleasure of knowing Howard while he was building the FAU football team. He is an amazing guy. I was not an athlete but if I had been I would have loved to play for him. After reading his book I understand that even more. If you want a real insight into how college football works – at its best – Howard is the man who can tell you.

A must read for football fans. Great insight into the makings of a college team as well as the journey of the incredible coach that changed the image of football at this level.

I love this book! I’m a Louisville Cardinal fan so I had to read this book. When Howard was coaching here in Louisville I had no idea what he had been through before he came here! Also was shocked he went to the same grade school I went to in Shively,Ky.
Anyway if you like Howard Schnellenberger you have to read this. Very interesting what this man has been through in the football world and the top notch coaches he’s worked with.
