Tastes Good – Makes Good Diet Shake,
This drink is my breakfast. The two things I like best: 1) The size – at 17 oz. it fills me up and I don’t feel hungry for hours after; 2) It has 40 grams of protein which is more than others I have found. That’s 80% of the RDA.
I’m not using this as a body builder, but more for dieting and I think those who are interested in a low carb protein drink should take notice. Take this vs. an Atkins shake for example. It tastes better, has 40 grams of both fast acting and slow acting protein (Atkins only 10 grams) giving you most of the protein you need, it has 0 grams sugar, no transfat, and the portion size is large enough to be satisfying (e.g., Lean Body 17 oz. vs. Atkins 11 oz.). Only 260 calories.
I have one of these in the morning, which keeps me from being hungry. I then have an afternoon whole fruit/veggie smoothie using my Ninja IQ (I use fresh fruit with the peels on and it’s better than juicing since you get the fiber from the pulp). I’m not a great fruit/veggie eater, but put a banana, an apple, some carrot, and kale or spinach and blend. This way I make sure I get three servings of raw fruit and veggies per day. Dinner is a protein of choice, whatever veggie I might need to hit my 3 veggie per day minimum, plus some sort of complex carb (e.g., beans, brown rice, quinoa). I’m a happy camper, losing weight, don’t feel hungry (if I get hungry nuts, or maybe some celery with cheese or peanut butter). I also feel that, along with some vitamin supplements, I’m doing something that can be healthy and sustainable.

Om nom nom nom!,
The chocolate flavor is my personal favorite. The vanilla was very bland and the strawberry intolerable (again, personal preference). I like the RTD version moreso than the dry protein, but I think that’s in general – I’m a grab and go type person.
It stays cool enough for a couple hours (so taking it to work or the gym isn’t a big deal if I don’t have a fridge handy).
Again, delicious either way. Nom nom.
