I was skeptical of this product because of the high price. How much better than legos could it really be? But it is a great product and worth the price. They include multiple detailed instruction manuals for each build. The kids love this, and we have poured over the included manuals and have learned a lot. I highly recommend.

I bought this for my 5 years old who’s a big fan of lego and machines in general. He can actually build these himself and has a lot of fun doing it.

The manual comes with interesting theory and experiment for kids to do to learn some of the principles. This part however is likely more targeted at older kids (although my 5 years old with some adult guidance does the experiments).

The main reasons for removing a star:
    – Although this set let you build all items for the 5 individual sets, you only have enough parts to build one of them at a time (I was hoping at least 2).
    – Many of the models instruction are not included so one has to go online to get them (which was a disappointment to my son when the first thing he wanted to build didn’t have instruction in the box)

Jury is still out on if he will end up building his own model (or at least making modifications to existing ones) using the parts.
