    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Pete the Cat: Construction Destruction (Paperback)
I purchased this book for my 2.5 year old son, who loves Pete the Cat. By FAR, this is his favorite. We received it two days ago, and every night since then, it is the ONLY book he wants to read. I have read it to him about nine times in two days.
The reason? Pete the Cat + Construction Equipment. Two things my son loves. If you have a kiddo that loves Pete and ALSO delights in pointing out the difference between a bulldozer and an excavator, you need to buy this book immediately.
Based on the books that have had longevity on his nightstand, I can guarantee this one will be there for a while.

‘Construction Destruction’ made by James Dean is author’s latest installment in worldwide known series of children books ‘Pete the Cat’ that introduced to the world a charming cat character full of great ideas. In latest sequel Dean created another entertaining story about Pete’s dreams, a great project of making new playground.

‘Construction Destruction’ will start with Pete’s realizing in how poor condition the playground is. And instead of despair or looking for someone else to solve this problem, Pete as always will take matters into his own paws – he will call in all kind of machinery and construction workers in order to build the playground as the world has not seen.

And though in the end things will not turn out as Pete hoped for, our main character and young readers will learn that you have to dream in order to fulfill your dreams…

The latest sequel in ‘Pete the Cat’ series delivers an educating lesson on the fulfillment of our plans and dreams that may not always succeed, but that should not discourage us to continue dreaming and trying.

Given there are two groups of Pete’s books that share the same cat hero, it should be emphasized this one is not part of `My First I Can Read Book’, though that should not stop children learning to read using this book given the ease and the accessibility of the text.

Taking into account its nice theme, an entertaining and well-made manner Dean again wrote and illustrate new Pete’s adventures, combined with 30 stickers this book also comes with, ‘Construction Destruction’ will be another enjoyable title for Pete’s existing and new fans.

Is there a page missing?, June 3, 2015

I am glad someone else commented about the story here and how it doesn’t make sense. It is as if a page is missing between the playground falling and being magically rebuilt. It is hard to recite the last words of dreaming big when something is so nonsensical. I am glad the other Pete the Cat books are better and have more substance.
