We bought this set for our 15 month old daughter at Marshalls ($14) and she LOVES it! she plays for hours with all the tools and she has learned every name and to add they are much safer than her real tools that she only gets to use when she works with daddy. this is a great set! i would get it again and again. the only reason i gave it 4 stars in the durability area is because the hammer that came in her set came apart but it went back together very easily…..love love love this set….its a must have

Our son loved getting this set as he always wants to help daddy with projects. The tools are surprisingly realistic. Truth be told, I’ve actually used one or two of them on projects when I did not have something handy but my son’s “toolbox” was close by. The calipers could actually be used to measure things and the pliers can be used for very light real tasks. But that is beside the point. Our son loves it and it is a great set of tools for the cost. The tool box feature, though, is a little silly. It is good as a project to put together with the tools (our son is not yet at that level) but not useful for much as a toolbox. Once assembled it is tiny. So we gave him a hand-me-down toolbox to carry around his tools.

The downside with the product is the packaging. It was one of the hardest packages I’ve ever had to open. You almost have to cut open every piece to separate from the plastic packaging.

My mission was to find a screwdriver for my 22 month old. I’m very disappointed in this tool set.

My 22 month old likes to help (for example replacing batteries in his toys), but I felt a “real” screwdriver was too dangerous for him. As a result, I went to Walmart to see what I could find since he kept asking for a screwdriver. My son already has the Fisher-Price Drillin’ Action Tool Set, but it did not include a screwdriver. Here’s the link to the Fisher-Price Drillin’ Action Tool Set:

    Fisher-Price Drillin’ Action Tool Set

The Fisher Price drill set was an excellent buy, so I assumed all the kids tools would be just as good. I was very wrong. The word “cheap” comes to my mind for this product. I wish I would have just purchased the “mini” pack of Black & Decker screwdrivers for $3, but I figured this item included many other tools my son would eventually want.

My purchase price for this product was $18.00 + 8.25% tax. I was shocked to see it selling for much more here on Amazon. If you are seriously interested in purchasing this product, be sure you don’t pay over $20. It’s not worth it. If I wouldn’t have opened the entire package already, I would be returning this tool set.
