I’ve always been a bit hesitant about sharpening with diamond stones, but this one is amazing. A great combination of rapid material removal, coupled with a creamy finish, leaving the user in complete control of the edge. The weight of the metal slab holds the stone to the bench surface on the grippy rubber feet, supplied.
Easy clean up too. I highly recommend this product.

Good product. Reasonable price. Good length to work moderately fast on long and large knives. It must be dried after use to prevent some rusting. Better if supported by a holder/base.

If you are going to use hand tools that require a sharp edge, this does the job. It’s large enough to sharpen larger hand plane blades without a huge amount of effort and yet small enough that you actually don’t have to give up another section of shop space. It’s not perfect. You really need a course version and if you are really demanding, possibly an extra fine one and a strop. It also tends to move around when being moved unlike a big stone. But, unlike a stone, it doesn’t require periodic resurfacing and a spray of water is all the prep you need. As long as you remember it’s limitations, you will be happy and have much sharper tools to work with.
