I should have read the entire description. Under Product Specifications, it shows the length as 9.75 inches. Thus I assumed it was similar to the kind of ruler that comes with a square, just a bit shorter because it is metric. This thing is simply a 6″ long ruler a shade less than 1/2″ wide and slightly thicker than a piece of paper with a clip so you can keep it in your pocket. The markings are etched all right but so small you almost need a magnifying glass to red them. For just over $6 I won’t lose any sleep but I do need to go back and look for a regular size metric ruler. I just have to read the whole description from now on no matter what the price

The T-bar on this rule was very sloppy and could rock up and down and skew the measurements by a mm or two. I had to tighten the T-bar by crimping the tabs a little tighter around the back of the rule with some pliers. With the T-bar tightened the rule is usable for my purposes. However, I would expect the out-of-the-box precision to be better than this. You shouldn’t have to modify a new tool to get it to work properly.
